Who we are Scripturally: The Apostolic Christian Church (Nazarean) strives to live according to the commandments of Christ and the Apostles. Scripture is interpreted literally, and is the final authority on all matters of faith and practice. Therefore, all are encouraged to study the Holy Bible and seek God’s grace to live according to its teachings. Individuals are joined to the church through new birth and baptism. At the time of baptism, members willingly enter a covenant of mutual care and communion, binding themselves together to Christ as one body for the purpose of ministry and exhortation, encouragement and admonition. Related, the leadership of the church is ordained from within the membership, and the various positions of leadership exist solely for the benefit of the body. |
